Here is my colony of Pogonomyrmex maricopa so far.  I got this colony from dspdrew last year as just a lone queen.  There were a couple other P. maricopa queens I got, but they never settled down.  I gave them a large cricket (freshly killed) after taking these pictures and they demolished it.  The queen has a small pile of brood with a few larvae right now.  They also get a variety of seeds for their diet.

So the queen died back in early summer and I'm not too sure why.  Hopefully I can get them again next season.
