Hey everyone. Chris here from long Island, NY again. I just want to confirm if these queens are tetramorium immigrans. I caught them in dix hills, long Island ny, 2 weeks ago. I was pretty sure they were tetramorium when I caught them, but after getting some up close pictures of them, now I'm not sure. They have these little spikes on their back behind the wing scars that I do not see on my other tetramorium queens. And the gaster is shaped differently. These girls are 10 Mm long head to end of gaster. Thanks in advance everyone. Here's the pics: https://imgur.com/gallery/e2Yjgro

Many, if not most ants have some form of propodeal spines. The size, shape, and positioning of these spines often is an identifying feature, but just having propodeal spines doesn't narrow it down much.
