Hi! I currently live in Northwest Florida and am new to the world of antkeeping (so new that I havent even collected my first ever queen yet). I look forward to cramming as much info into my brain as I can about ants and antkeeping (I have already began doing this lol) until the next nuptial cycle comes and I can collect my first queen! Are there a decent amount of antkeepers in my area? I plan on exploring as much as I can on this wonderful forum!

Welcome! You have a lot of cool ants you could find down there.

Welcome! make sure before you post any new topics or questions to search to see if someone has already posted them(probably has). If you have the time, and are dedicated to finding queens, i would encourage getting a blacklight setup.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
