I got my Tetramorium immigranis queen a few months back, along with around 10 others most of which are sold. This colony is housed in a wakooshi venus nest, with 20-30 workers and an insane amount of brood. They will get to 100+ workers by the end of the year, I can almost guarantee it with their amazing growth. They've got to have at least 80ish pupae, larvae, and eggs and the queen lays just about every time they get protein. I am not heating them so they will not get too out of hand. I am planning on moving them into a mini hearth when I get one.

Mini update: I gave the colony some crushed seeds today because I've heard they'll take them. They loved them. Also cleaned their outworld. There is still a ton of brood.

This colony is still doing well, I am considering buying a heating cable to heat them because it is getting cooler. They have been eating well always, and enjoy crushed seeds. They are messy ants I have noticed.

Colony is doing well, starting to have a boom in numbers. There is always 10+ workers in the outworld, making it hard to clean. They also still have a huge brood pile, and the will be getting a mini hearth this week!

This colony is absolutely booming. I just recently moved them to a mini hearth, with about 70 workers and lots of smaller larvae. The love their crushed seeds and insects. I love watching them forage in their new, larger outworld.

I believe tetramorium immigrans can grow a bit faster when heated, but their growth rate is relatively the same.

I was able to catch a glimpse of all of  their small larvae in a pile yesterday, they have a lot and probably more hidden. I'd estimate about 50 of them, more workers coming!

This colony really slowed down during the winter, which is why I have an updated in a while. There has been little to no brood production these past couple months, but I think they will start to grow as it is getting closer to spring. They still have the same amount of larvae minus maybe a few.

They now have tons of pupae. I have a feeling they are getting ready to explode.
