This is about the only article I can find in English on this subject.

 

There is a beetle called the Lomechuse who produces some sort of honeydew or sweet extretion.

It can cause the ants to become addicted, to the point where the ant even allows the beetle to eat its gaster as long as it can get at this drugged honeydew.
