Hi, i have a homemade nest and outworld that my friend made me. I have attached the nest onto the outworld but it is far too big, so i also have the test tube attached to the outworld aswell.

My question is, will the ants remain in the testube connected to the outworld or am i risking them going into the nest too early?

I can block off access to the nest needs be but just thought id see what happened as i am still only a beginner to the hobby and still learning :)

If i have done anything wrong then please let me know so i can correct it.

I have attached some pics so you can see and advise accordingly
TIA :)01458d19d0e1e0959e5a9c1c0cc6c666.jpg

This depends on how big your colony is. if they are still under one hundred workers, then I would disconnect the nest, plug the hole with a cotton ball until the colony is in the hundreds. But if the colony is in the hundreds, then

I would just leave them and they will decide if it is right to move. Also double post.
