So I recently moved my C. clarithorax colony from a test tube to a gypsum nest and now most of the workers have died off. In the beginning I over watered the nest a little so could that be the cause of the die off?

I keep: C. modoc, C. sansabeanus  :D, C. maritimus, Formica argentea, M. mexicanus  :D, Odontomachus brunneus :D, Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex rugosus,

How many workers did the colony have? I'd guess it was too small yet to cope with the conditions of a larger nest.

Overwatering usually doesn't affect ants as long as it doesn't lead to a huge mold outbreak.

We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

Before they had around 15 workers but now they’re down to one, plus the queen. However that one worker seems fine.
