A friend from Hawaii recently sent me a colony of Camponotus Variegatus, they have 2 pupae (1 hiding behind queen) and around 6 larvae, the queen is 14-15 mm and the third largest species of ant I have at the moment.

I saw some of those for sale on Etsy recently and they are definitely a cool species but the price scared me away lol, this journal will be so unique because there are so few ants on Hawaii. Good luck!

Colony is at 5 workers, 6 pupae and cluster of eggs/larvae. I have been feeding crickets and sugar water.

I'm interested to see how this colony progresses.
