I found these in the Mojave 2 weeks ago, and i decided to keep them, they seemed relatively easy so i decided to make a journal on her. So far she has a nice batch of eggs

Update timeeee. I caught another one of these queens, and she already has a nice batch of eggs, I'll be documenting them both. Two big crema colonies... that sounds nice 😅

Okay got westhollywoodant banned. I reported him for harassment. Also the number looking fire ant who is westhollywoodant. Cool cremetogaster btw. Their eggs don't grow to fast I must tell you. I had a C. Ashmeadi queen and it took her 3 weeks for her eggs to hatch into larava.

Checked up on both queens today and queen 1 got some decently sized larvae now, ill update when she has pupae, queen 2 still has eggs

pretty sure queen two us infertile because when I checked up on her today she had no brood at all

Sooooo, the queens first gen hatched then died, and later on, eaten by the queen. But, she laid a second batch of eggs so I guess it not all bad. One of her larave are about to turn into pupae too. not sure how this happend, but it did lol

This queen is doing great, her pupae is almost a worker, and she recently ladi some more eggies. But one of the eggs got on her wings and she couldn't remove them, and now It molded. What should I do?

If you haven't already, maybe you could use a wet toothpick to try and remove it off of her? Another option could be to wait until a worker ecloses who could then get rid of the egg. I've never had a Crematogaster sp. or anything of the likes so take this with a grain of salt.

so when I was taking the pics of her I realized that there were these little white dots inside her gaster (yes I made sure they were in her gaster) I think they might be mites. I fed her some nector recently, do you think that they could've hitched a ride on there?

Edit: well the dots are both inside and outside her gastor I'll try to get a better pic

The colony had grown quite a bit, they now have 12 workers with a decent brood pile of all stages, I never had these IDed yet but I remember someone saying it was easier to ID if I provided pics of the workers, so i was wondering if these were good enough
