How and when do I hibernate my camponotus pennsylvanicus, nearcticus, n flavipes, Tetramorium immigrans, and aphaenogaster sp. I’m New York. It can get 20 and below in the winter. I have a greenhouse. Should I put them in there.

It isn’t, and most mini fridges have adjustable temperature so you can see what works best with your ants.

If you can set the fridge to between 40 and 50 fahrenheit then it should be good

Tetras have no need or desire for hibernation. There won’t be any negative side effects to keeping them chugging along year round. How and when do I hibernate my camponotus pennsylvanicus, nearcticus, n flavipes, Tetramorium immigrans, and aphaenogaster sp. Of course, if you wanted to hibernate them to take a break from them you technically could, but it would only be for your benefit, not the ants.
