Hi, I got these guys from a GAN farmer and he said he thinks that they might be Camponotus nearticus but I just wanted to check to see if that’s the case now that they have more workers. Though I couldn’t get a good shot of the queen since the workers are basically covering her.

I realize now this should have gone in Ant ID requests but I didn’t see it at first. If anyone has the ability to move posts then if it could be moved there that would be great 😅

nearcticus/caryae, nearcticus is much more common however.

Yes! I’ve been enjoying feeding them a little too much 😂 I had to raid their food storage because I was worried about mold even though it’s not that moist in there because they like it drier anyways. I’m just very excited to be owning ants and such 😁
