I have recently aquired a 3 queen colony of A. versicolor and they have big fungus gardens.

Here are some photos prior to me getting them:

I am wondering the exact same thing haha.

Anyways, they look healthy and great! So cool that more leaf cutter journals are springing up again! Best of luck on them.

Also wondering how you got them!

I would GLADLY buy one queen off you. Considering they won't stay multi queen colonies forever.

So the thing is that I got them off a private seller. They have told me not to share any info.

Just don’t question it. If it’s private, it’s private.

Hello! Acromyrmex havent flown in california yet, even if they did they wouldn't be that big of a colony. So you got them from Arizona. Illegally

You can't possibly know that. Maybe don't accuse people of breaking the law if you don't have evidence.

For all we know this private seller grabbed some queens and workers from an already established nest in the wild. And while they would be questionable morally its not illegal. Now I'm not saying that DID happen, I'm saying we don't know so maybe we don't go around calling people criminals without knowing

I understand that completely. No one else gotten queens. Not even Drew or Nurbs. The top ant keepers in california. Along with thousands of others. So...

Thank you Techant and KitsAntVa. I can assure everyone that this colony was obtained inside all the terms and regulations. Sorry I did not clear that up in the original post. Also I was away tending to other matters so sorry for leaving everyone in the dark. I hope that this journal is just for veiwing, research, education, etc.

I hope you guys get a colony each. So far they are so cooky.  I might be setting up a shop in the following months and if the rains are in my favor I might be selling some so who knows.
