A few months back I received my large Inception chamber from THA, until today it sat unused for months. Recently I got my hands on a brachyponera chinensis colony and moved them in about an hour ago. There seems to be a water tower in the middle of the formicarium, now this sounds all fine and dandy, however, THE TOWER DOESN'T HAVE AN INTAKE TUBE! How in Allah's glorious name am I supposed to fill the water tower up if there is no hole to stick the syringe in! What in Allah's name am I to do? How do I fill it up?

If you put water in a cup and pour from above will it go through the mesh? The water chamber is in the outworld, yes?

Starting this July I'm posting videos of my ants every week on youTube.

I like to make relaxing videos that capture the joy of watching ants.

You are supposed to use the little hole on the actual nest for hydration, not the tower in the outworld.

Just fill it by pressing a syringe without the metal tip to the mesh on the water tower inside the inception chamber. Pretty simple.

There should be a white straw sticking out the side. If it isn’t there, that’s a serious design flaw. There’s no way you can be filling it long term through the mesh with a colony in there. Brachyponera have nasty stings by the way.

It's a really terrible design. There is no white straw at all, I had to put the syringe on the top of the mesh.

It's just an older design, intended for founding a colony before they move to something larger.
