I'm curious as to how often the USDA actually sends someone to inspect applicants' setups like they say they might.

I have permits. It depends if you're transporting native or non native. Native permit is a lot faster and easier. While some people are going on a year for non native.
Wants (Please reach out if you have them for sale if you’re in the US): Acromyrmex Sp., Atta Sp., Cephalotes Sp., Myrmecocystus Sp (Prefer Mexicanus), Odontomachus Sp. (Prefer Desertorum), Pachycondyla Sp., Pheidole Sp (Prefer Rhea. The bigger the better. Not the tiny bicarinata), Pogonomyrmex Sp (Prefer Badius)., Pseudomyrmex Sp. (Prefer the cute yellow ones)

That depends on your local APHIS office.

No, you are not allowed to take the organisms off of your property, or the property specified in the permit.

They have a different commercial permit, in which the end goal is to distribute ants, not only receive ants. Conventional PPQ-526 permits specifically prohibit holders from distributing the organisms to anyone else.

I looked in to it some more on the APHIS website a discovered that when you move to a new location you just have get a new permit.I think you would have to edit/create entirely new permit for transporting them to Texas. Sounds complicated
Also, you think it would be hard to get commercial permits for transporting Odontomachus to Northern states with conditions they couldn’t withstand? Also, where do you apply for commercial vs. Personal permits?
