Found where he got the fancy flat ones:  http://www.antstore....orld---202.html

I didn't even know that place existed until now.

There is a picture posted of what looks like the hydration system, but I have no idea how it could work:  http://www.antstore....30x20-5278.html

The equipments sold by this website are great, but never, ever buy ants there ! (You would be lucky if they arrived alive and even more if they lived more than one week)

That does not sound like a problem with them, that sounds like a shipping live animals problem.

Their ant colonies and queens have mites quite often,  are underfed (a camponotus nicobarensis I received had probably not been fed for months), and are very often not fertilized.
The packaging is almost nonexistent, ants are basically unprotected. Of course colonies are not warranted at all except in Germany (because they could be sued there).

It is an aquarium lying on its back instead of its bottom.

Actually looks like it could be, with the tepature gauge and the grass look around the sides I figiured it must be for growing herbs or something in your house maybe,
