Found her on a large upturned log in Idaho City on July 6th (2022). It was a very hot day, somewhere in the 90s(fahrenheit)
I don't have a good way of measuring her, but I'll look around for a ruler and update the post when I can.
She has pretty energetic, moving around quite a lot when I check in on her so I really try not to check in on her as much as I can cause I don't wanna stress her out too much.
Thankyou for all your help. I can safely assume she's a carpenter ant queen, but I would like to know the specific species. Modoc and Pennsylvanicus have been suggested but I didn't have good photos before so hopefully we can come to a concrete answer :]
