I got a 2 queen Poly of Camponotus clarithorax.

Got in mid May with a decent brood, no workers.

But after a few days the first worker emerged!

The two queens are doing well. Fed some honey which they loved.

Up to 4 workers now. Brood pile is staying consistent with eggs, Larvae, and Pupa.

Nice! Where did you get these girls from. Probably one of my favorite Camponotus. Of course my favorite being the mini D. gigas (C. ca02)

Unfortunately one queens got into a fight and one was pushed away. I think they fought as the one queen was missing three legs and the dominate queen one back leg.

I seperated to try and save the situation but unfortunately the queen died. Sad

But the dominate queen seemed to respond by laying a nice size batch of eggs. Decent size brew pile. and just today the 5th worker emerged.

June 20th - picture through the tubing. Not great but better then nothing.

Yeah man! Sucks the queens didn’t work out together. But I have read similar things happening. And with the strong response in producing brood since she has taken over as the only queen is cool and interesting πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™πŸΌ
Cheers buddy 🍻

They are doing well, 6 workers and a few later stage pupa, multiple larve and eggs.

I was able to get a shot of the queen laying an egg. Still on the end of her abdomen.

The colony is doing very well, brood is steady with few pupa, few larvae, few eggs.

Up to 7 workers now. Recently gave a mix of honey, hummingbird flower nectar, and crickets blended. They all filled up loved it.

Doing very well, up to 12-14 workers. I was able to give them a little brood boost with some young C.Vicinus Larvae that they seem to have taken right in. The workers will be huge in comparrison so i am curious to watch it all unfold. The colony also moved into my make [censored] starter formicarium I made. They have been hooked up to it a while but queen never budged. Perhaps the sense of a brood increase stimulated her to seek larger chamber. Cool either way  B)
