I currently have 4 queens but I made a video of the most developed queen! :)

Worker Tetramoriums look like slow moving rods, queen tetras look like miniaturized Pheidolageton. haha

These are my favorite colonies. They get so big so quick, and are voracious when fed. They are fun to watch.

Worker Tetramoriums look like slow moving rods, queen tetras look like miniaturized Pheidolageton. haha 

The queens look like Carebara queens with tiny gasters-they are only the size of the thorax! It's odd how these queens start off with massive broods. 


Species I keep:

 

1 Lasius cf. Neoniger 30 workers

1 Camponotus sp. 15 workers

20 Tetramorium SpE 30 workers

1 T. Sessile 200 workers

Yea actually a bit of the eggs are used as food for the larva later on.

I caught a single queen 2 days ago after an early flight. She has laid several eggs.

She has quite a few medium sized larva. She is growing a bit faster than expected which is nice.

The queen now has several pupa. Once again, growing a lot faster than expected.

First workers arrived and she also laid a new batch of eggs. I'm thinking that they could get done with 2 more generations by the end of the year at this rate.
