What are these ant doing?

These ants look like tetramorium immigrans, they seem to be swarming something but I never see anything under or around them?

Tetramorium are quite territorial and so they often fight other colonies, as seems to be the case here.

Yeah, Tetramorium often have massive wars during summer. They raid each others' nests to kill as many as they can and also steal brood, so any sea of ants you see around in the following month would probably be one of their swarms.

Yea I saw quite a few of those wars today. Accidentally stepped ona bunch of them. I will probably never get the blood of my hands (what is ant blood even called?)

Edit:I searched it up and it said ant blood is called Haemolymph. Idk if that's right. Think I've heard it before somewhere so I think its right.
