Yesterday, I found a smaller P. Megacephala colony in a branch… the queen has 2 full legs, and a few half-legs. She can walk, just she has a hard time. I tried to introduce two new queens, both of which legs were torn off and killed. Please help, as I don’t won’t to send another queen to her doom(I have more “back up queens” but not very many). I am not sure if the existing queen will survive at all soo…
I need a Solution to get a non-injured queen to there to help with egg laying. Both queens I introduced were fertile…(One lost its workers)

I mean you could keep them apart and hope they lay eggs. This may sound dumb but maybe connect two test tubes one queen in each with something with small holes to seperate them. Observe if they show aggresion towards each other, if not than allow them to fully interact.
Been keeping ants since January of 2021

I don’t think there is anything you can do sadly. If i were you, I would give up on the injured queen and keep the non-injured backup queens as your new megacephala colony.
This is assuming the backup queens came from the same colony. If not, keep the one with the most workers.

Hopefully the crippled queen does survive, I am not sure if I crippled here what the deal is.I don’t think there is anything you can do sadly. If i were you, I would give up on the injured queen and keep the non-injured backup queens as your new megacephala colony.

I was referring to back up Queens, I have a backup colony(Workers just hatched!) as I never intended on finding this one… it does seem the workers don’t attack until the queen gets close to the existing queen, the queens that were lost were established colonies that the workers drowned due to a feeding issue. It was my only hope on saving those queens.
(Note, this is not nessecary, but they didn’t kill the queens… I did. They left them without limbs, so I put them out of their misery)
