Is this a queen? If so, which kind?
Spring Hill Tennessee.
Collected on cement outside home.
Collected May 12th 2022.
Today's date May 13th 2022.
Half inch in length.
Reddish head large black back end.

Camponotus (Myrmentoma) decipiens or discolor, more likely the former but difficult to tell with these pictures

Yes, it is a queen. To differentiate the two species you need pictures of the malar hairs.
