Update - 5/23/22 - NEED ADVICE!!
So my Wakooshi stuff arrived today!! What a kick in the butt putting it together. LOL!!
It's all so small and cute but I should have paid someone to put it together.
My dilemma is as follows. Outworld is too small for test tube.
I only have queen and 3 or 4 workers so even though nest is only approx. 3" x 4", I don't have enough to put them in nest right?
Should I hook tube to outworld and let them grow numbers like that?
Another question, what size or wattage heat cable should I buy? I definitely think they are cold. My current living arrangements are not optimal and where I keep them is too cold I think.
Take a look at pics in link or see attached and give me some advice. Thanks in advance for any tidbits off wisdom you may provide.

You can probably ge5 away with putting them in the nest but hooking them up to the outworld via tubing would work perfectly as well.

You can probably buy a heating cable like this:
https://www.amazon.c...317&sr=8-2&th=1
Just make sure that you are not cooking them by giving a temp gradient. So only heat one side of the nest, and they can choose where they want to be based on tempurature.
edit: The hole for hydration in the pics looks like it should be filled with a sponge? Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like that is where a sponge goes for hydration.

I'm not sure about the sponge. One did not come with the kit. That part is Gypsum which I think holds some moisture. I'll ask Wakooshi though. Good eye!You can probably buy a heating cable like this:

That nest is too big for the colony. At 1 queen and 1 worker, I would highly recommend continuing to keep them in a test tube.

Agreed. You can put them in a simple tubs and tubes setup if they are getting cramped in the tube. A good way to tell if they need an outworld is if workers escape when you open the test tube (take off the cotton). All you need is a small tub and that'll do. Just make sure it is natural and doesn't have any harmful chemicals.

Update - 5/28 - Interim Home, Thoughts?
Okay so I've been alternating every 2 or 3 days, a little tiny piece of superworm and then a dab of Agave Nectar.
Nobody has died lately!! Good thing.
Here is setup I just rigged. Queen and workers are all huddled up after the "disturbances".
Tube diameter matches the outworld opening diameter. A bit of electrical tape and voila!!
I have a little protein in one bowl, some nectar in another and water in the globe.
The setup sits in a small plastic container and when put away, I have old t-shirt over them to darken whole thing.
Gimme your thoughts, comments, criticism whatever. I take it all as help!!
Peace & Happy Anting...Bill P.

Looks pretty good! If you have a liquid feeder you can have their sugar source (in this case agave nectar) available 24/7, and feed protein every other day or at most every 3-4 days. Good luck!

That blue gravel will make cleaning more difficult.
