what type of habitat are they found in?

I saw two Prenolepis imparis males today at around 2:30pm in the West Bay Area, CA

Near the forest.

I just found a dead Camponotus male of the subgenus MyrmentomaCamponotus species such as C. discolor, C. nearcticus, and C. snellingi  should be flying around this time in the southeast.
