I love that species, I kept it in Hawaii before.

Now I have solid proof that the ant was T. bicarinatum. Someone once asked if she was some sort of Hawaiian Myrmica.

Yours are semi claustral, right?

It's fine, but I posted that to help you find care info on the species, etc. (you'd probably not even need it for S. invicta, they're born survivors)

Sold the last Crem this week. Realized a lot of people love this species. The ones here in the California deserts are very easy to rear. There are so many of them hanging out in desert gas stations after a Summer rain that I usually don't even bother.

 

Last season I collected just three (all while filling up at a Chevron gas station, no less!) 

 

Going to grab a lot more this season!
