Myrmica specioides had another one of those weird notflying but flying flights again, this time states gathered by the nest entrances and such but didn't bother coming out. I found a dead Myrmica dealate in a spiderweb so a few colonies in the area probably did fly at some point between the last flight and now, this flight and the area of the dead queen wasn't in the same location as the previous one, it was in the same location as that video from 2015 I took.

I've been looking where I saw them in 2015, no luck. Thanks for this, I'll keep trying. Hoping for rain on Thurs., maybe that will help.

I have a question. It's been too cold for flights here in avon ct (50-70 degrees) and I've only been seeing small scattered flights. Will autumn fliers (myrmica, crematogaster, etc.) fly in colder weather?
