Here's another ant that I've been trying to identify.  It's in alcohol, not pinned so I can't get the best pictures. I've been looking at it again and again, but I just can't figure out what it is or even if it's an ant.  It definitely has the body shape, and at first glance I thought it was a Monomorium worker.

1. Collected on protected land in Silverado Canyon

2. 6-1-15
3. coastal sage scrub
4. 1mm
5. shiny black
6. 1 petiole, weird spikes under head, antennae not very bent, 11 antennal segments
7.
8.
