On there you can find the story on how I found Veromessor chicoensis.
This journal will be updated on them tomorrow because I need sleep.

So... That update?
The colony is doing good currently. I've tried to offer them some cricket and they seemed to not be interested in it at all. I offered them some crushed up fish pellets and they didn't show any interest with it either. They were also in a tubs and tubes setup with sand. I then checked on them the next day and they had a few workers that died because of trying to climb up the baby powder barrier over and over. 3 workers died. They have around 15 workers and 1 queen.
I decided to take them out of tubs and tubes and just put them in a test tube. They seemed to do a lot better in a test tube. They also still weren't eating. I offered them some sugar water and they drank lots of sugar water. These guys seem to love sugar water a lot. I'm going to try to offer them a cricket leg today and see if they will show interest. They have 3 larvae right now and a batch of about 20 eggs. I've offered them a few types of seeds and they haven't touched them at all or showed interest. I'm going to try to give them some again to see if they will eat them.
