Hi,
Is it possible to add an alien Ruginodis queen to an already established colony of the same species?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah I wouldn’t do it. The general rule for polygynous species is that once a queen gets nanitics, adding new queens becomes impossible.

Oh I just read the title of the post again and realized that it was Myrmica not Myrmecia

If they are both confirmed ruginodis and they are from same/similar populations, I'm sure that the solo queen can be accepted.

I've observed with Brachymyrmex Patagonicus that even if 2 colonies already have some workers that the 2 colonies will be able to merge still.

What if the colony produces its own alates? Will those queens mate with the male alates or do Ruginodis not inbreed?
