Hi I'm ColAnt735.

The ants I am currently keeping include:

Formicinae:
Prenolepis imparis ( 2 single queen colonies).
Lasius brevicornis ( 19 founding queens) haven't seen many journals of them
Lasius neoniger (a founding queen)
Formica incerta( 1 colony with 16 workers)

Myrmicinae:
Pogonomyrmex occidentalis ( 1 colony with a workers)
Solenopsis molesta( 1 colony with over 500 workers!)
Tetramorium immigrans ( 3 colonies with the biggest nearing 300 workers!)
Crematogaster cerasi ( 1 founding queen)
Temnothorax cf curvispinosus or ambiguus ( 1 queen with colony of 2 workers).
previously kept:
Pogonomyrmex occidentalis

Update: 1/28/22

An update on my colonies who are not in diapause 

1st tetramorium immigrans colony: Eating well and is in the middle of a MASSIVE boom in population well over 300 workers.    (rare picture of the queen). 

2nd tetramorium immigrans colony: This is actually my brothers colony and he is pretty new to ant keeping so this colony is only 40 workers strong.

3rd tetramorium immigrans colony: This colony had a really rough start and the queen took 3 months to get workers they are making up for that disadvantage and they now have 30+ workers.  

Pogonomyrmex occidentalis queen: VERY DARK PUPA! I am expecting workers any day now.

Lasius Brevicornis: Very developed larvae!  (for some reason only 1 of the queens is a dealate but they have very developed larvae so at least one is mated).  

Pics of everything but the P.occidentalis and the 3rd tetramorium colony (they both have very messy test tubes)

Hope you have more progress with the queen! The only reason why I think that I have progress is that there are 14 queens in that test tube and 5 in the other tube.

If this is the case then you can always catch a new queen.

yep I know that fact its just that one time she got a pupae and it was definitely not a male

my queen was bought from canada ant colony in 2020 so I did not catch her in my area

Update on my colonies in diapause

 

Temnothorax curvispinosus/ambiguus-may have lost a worker.   If this is the case there's only one now.

Crematogaster cerasi- Going strong.   

Prenolepis imparis colony 1 - hard to tell what's going on in here but the queens completely fine so that's good.

Prenolepis imparis colony 2- had a worker die but everyone else is doing fine.

Formica incerta-  also hard to tell wants going on here.

Solenopsis cf. molesta- had a couple workers die off but not a enough to hurt the colony.  

Lasius neoniger-Also going strong.

I know that I posted earlier today but this is worth mentioning: The Pogonomyrmex occidentalis queen has a worker! She’s cute with big black eyes and I love her already. (I'm getting way to attached to this worker aren't I).

Update for colonies not in diapause 

 

Tetramorium immigrans colony 1- Callows, callows, and more callows. Oh did I mention the queen laid a ton of eggs?

Tetramorium immigrans colony 2- Nothing much has changed.

Tetramorium immigrans colony 3-  More eggs.

Pogonomyrmex occidentalis: Three new pupa and the worker is starting to darken!

Lasius brevicornis- I watched a queen try and walk upside down on the test tube and fall .   Other than that some larvae look like they are going to pupate!
