Don’t give up, man. This forum has been around since 2013, and I’ve not seen anyone with really successful colonies of this species. Some of these strange ants probably just aren’t cut out for captivity. Focus on your colonies that are doing well and on finding species that will really thrive.

I'm giving up on Camponotus and pots. I'm certain that there is something killing my ants. It might be something in the air. Idk at this point. All I know is it isn't simply the difficulty of certain species or my care. I do plan on keeping whatever species seem immune which seem to be most myrmicines.

That sucks- Campontous and Pots are some of the coolest genuses (genusus?) out there, and can be pretty big.

All of your ants die? Have you changed the tube? I wonder if it is something to do with water… I have heard that tap water in certain areas can kill some ants. Do you use distilled water?(This is a bad theory because queen should die possibly before workers or right after so…)
It’s most likely not your fault though. Advanced species are much harder to raise and succeed. Hopefully this colony doesn’t die, and keeps going!

To be fair, barely anyone has kept this species until I distributed close to three dozen. This species also isn't that strange considering it's basically just a Myrmentoma species which are easy going - I also don't know of any Camponotus that isn't "cut out for captivity." I have a handful of colonies of Camponotus yogi that doing just fine under typical Camponotus care. His issue is something that happens with species that other people have long-term success with, which is why it's so frustrating to try to figure out and discouraging.

If I remember right, when I found these years ago, I only got a few workers and then it was over.

My colony is steadily growing with very minimal care. They probably get the least care out of any ants I own and have been doing well. They are steadily climbing in numbers and today are close to 10 workers.
Currently: Considering moving to Australia

Two of my colonies reached 20 workers in four months until I wasn't able to give them anything for a couple weeks. Luckily they have been increasing since the die-offs.

Pretty sure they aren't just "difficult"
They look poisoned

Dead as expected. I have a serious issue and I can't seem to figure it out. I'm done buying and catching ants. I'll keep whatever lives.

I wish I could help you, or anyone else could. If you have ruled out food, is it the tubes/formicaria you use? Maybe try raising some in a box with sand? Some plastics asorb soap, so if you use soap it could be the problem as some soaps are dangerous to ants

Where did you find her? I went looking and had no luck during the heat wave.

She has a giant larvae so I assume it's a male. Here's some yogi pictures I took.
