Do you have any ant mysteries that you wish are solved? The biggest mystery I want to be solved is why my ants don't like moving to a new nest, I frustrates me a lot.

Plenty of species to discover.

Better information on ant diets and how to keep certain species in captivity, such as Prenolepis imparis. A lot of people, myself included, can't get them to lay a second batch of eggs.

More specific information on different species nuptial flights, so I can find target species easier.

Ways to captive breed different species.

I'm sure there are more I could think of and I've got a lot to learn about my little list that is already known, just not by me.

As for your mystery I think it boils down to moving nests in the wild is one of the riskiest activities the colony can do, so they try to do it as little as possible.

Yes. It was a rainy morning In a July day in Tucson, Arizona. To my surprise right after the rain the sun came out and a couple dozens of queens flew but not in the hundreds like what Acromyrmex normally do. And Acromyrmex usually fly early in the morning at around 4:30 AM. But when I found them flying it was around 1 PM. Please help me solve this mystery.
