My sister found a tiny queen ant at school. Maybe a Dolichoderine, I'm not great at identifying subfamilies though.
1. Location (on a map) of collection: Sydney, around Newtown
2. Date of collection: Probably late-September-early-November?
3. Habitat of collection: Urban environment
4. Length (from head to gaster): 4mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Looks black in the photos, but it's slightly brown, with white legs.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Tiny.
7. Distinguishing behavior: Seems less calm than a lot of my other queens.
8. Nest description: N/A
9. Nuptial flight time and date: see date of collection, I didn't actually see alates flying though.
