Ants have a very relaxed approach to cannibalism.

The Darkwings are growing so fast! My Lasius brevicornis queens also ate their larvae even though I don't check on them often.

The Darkwings: They have had a boom in population witch is awesome, also I have absolutely zero idea how many workers they have.

The Night runners: nothing new

The lasius: nothing new

and guess what! I caught a wild colony ( they are invasive where I live so don't sweat about wether they are native) of myrmica! :yahoo: I will most likely sell this colony so if anyone wants a myrmica colony with three queens and ten workers pm me.

At this time of year it is most likely Prenolepis imparis but we need pictures to be sure.
