Ants have a very relaxed approach to cannibalism.
yeah, uh they completely devoured the body
The darkwings got three more pupae last night!!!!
The night runners pupae should hatch in the next few days wich is really exciting!

the night runners have a worker!!!! she is so cute!!! Hopefully I will take photos tomorrow.
The darkwings lost another worker due to old age.
The night runners are now in a Petri dish setup I made myself.
The lasius might have a larvae, they might.

The night runners have a new worker!!! They don't seem to like their petri dish so I am planning on making them a new formicarium.
The darkwings also have two new pupae but they lost two more nanitics. Also the lasius finally have a larvae!!!

The Darkwings are growing so fast! My Lasius brevicornis queens also ate their larvae even though I don't check on them often.

The Darkwings: They have had a boom in population witch is awesome, also I have absolutely zero idea how many workers they have.
The Night runners: nothing new
The lasius: nothing new
and guess what! I caught a wild colony ( they are invasive where I live so don't sweat about wether they are native) of myrmica! I will most likely sell this colony so if anyone wants a myrmica colony with three queens and ten workers pm me.
I caught a new species!!! I believe that it is lasius, but I am not one hundred percent sure.
All of the other colonies are doing great!

At this time of year it is most likely Prenolepis imparis but we need pictures to be sure.
