I'm Happy to report that the 2nd worker has finally arrived! She now has two workers and some eggs/brood.

Here are some updated pictures. Just gave them a new clean test tube. Substrate was added after I had taken a few pictures.

While I was taking pictures the Queen decided to play it awkward.

Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

YouTube: https://m.youtube.co...uKsahGliSH7EqOQ (It's pretty dead. Might upload again soon, don't expect my voice to sound the same though.)

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): Camponotus irritans inferior, Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, Nylanderia sp., Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

Unfortunately I have some sad news...
My Myrmecia chrysogaster queen died. I think its from the new feeder crickets I bought from the-reptile-realm online and I'm really upset over it. She was my most fav bull ant queen. She had been doing so well! Now I know why the worker died.

And no I did not feed food to my crickets that had pesticides on it. I've been a bit sus about the crickets I bought from day one as about 5+ are dying each day and they rot very quickly. I guess even store bought food can be dangerous.

I'm going to breed my own crickets for now on and no longer buy them. That way I can be sure I know what they eat.
Its going to be more work for me but I won't want more of my queens to die.

So this will conclude the journal. I'm really sad I lost her, hopefully I can find a new queen this coming summer as I don't have the finances to buy another.

One week ago, Both workers were in outworld when this picture was taken.

Today. A worker died a day before the Queen did. I didn't know at the time why.

I know I'm a few days late but sorry to hear about that.

We're only a season away from spring though, hopefully you can find another one.
