Same product as Tarheels, but it appears to be a few pennies cheaper.

I've seen people connect gasoline filters to aspirators for ants with acid

The filter does nothing to protect against the formic acid, it does protect against inhaling small particles.

I've inhaled formic acid before.  It's pretty sour.

Has anyone tried this thing? I've seen it on eBay for a while and I'm really tempted to get it.

Looks ok, but i'd put some fluon around the edge of the collection vial. Couldn't hurt to give it a try. Where is it shipping from?

Yeah, kinda expected that. If shipping isn't too bad, then give it a try!

If you're cheap like me, get a d r u g bottle and create two hole in the lid slightly smaller than the tubing of your choice.  Have one long one and one short tube.  The smaller one will be where you s u c k, and the longer one is the one you point at the ants and brood, and they get s u c k e d.  On any end of the short tube hot glue a peice of cloth or something similar to the end (make sure its fine so smaller ants won't be swallowed by you).  I used an old t-shirt and folded it to add l a y e r s. After that flip the cap so the inside bit is facing you, and put the tubes in from there (after dunking them in hot water to make them s o f t).  Make sure that the cloth side of the smaller one is on the inside.  From there add hot glue around it so it stays and there's no cracks, and then put the lid on and it should be good.  This works pretty good in my opinion, but of a pain to suck in sometimes.  I caught my Myrmica this way so...
