Recently my Pheidole Californica colony had a huge die-off due to being kept in a moldy THA fallen fortress. I hastily moved them into an Ants Australia acrylic nest and outworld. However, no matter what  I do, they don't seem to even touch the outworld. What should I do? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the colony nose has a 50 to 50 ratio of workers to majors because of the die-off?

Maybe the nest is too big? Ants usually don't explore the outworld when they have too much nest space.

I don't think so. They take up half the nest, and the outworld is also a little small.
