How to reproduce gamergate ants

Hi everyone!

 

Does any one have any ideas on how i could get my Gamergate ant colony to mate and make another queen?

It’s practically impossible unless you have access to males from another colony of the same species.

Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): ★ Camponotus irritans inferior, ★ Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, ★ Nylanderia sp., ★ Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), ★ Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

I saw someone on Facebook a long time ago who has a Diacamma colony without a fertiile gamergate and the next day he saw that a male had flown into their nest and mated with a dominant worker. So I guess you can get colonies like that but you need to be extremely lucky.

It's possible but 2 colonies are needed and they both need males
