It depends on where the ants were caught and/or the species as to whether or not they even need to be taken off heat.

So in other words, you would try to match the temperature of the location where the ants were caught? And if you don't know and are unable to obtain that information?
It depends on where the ants were caught and/or the species as to whether or not they even need to be taken off heat.

Google the species, ask around if the species you have is one that needs hibernation. Where are you from anyways? And are the ants in question local to where you live?
