I caught 3 alates and 1 partial dealate over the span of March.

 

I opted for a dirt setup because of the high sensitivity of these species as well as their need for substrate. Many previous keepers on Chinese and German forums have noted the difficulty of caring for these species so they are likely to be a fun challenge.

 

Expect this journal to be updated a few weeks later when the first workers eclose. 

 

P.S Yes, there is a large ant buried under there.

Only two managed to raise nanitics but both died off after refusing food for a month.
