I hope you are well.

2 days ago, I placed the test tube with one of my colonies in a formicarium (the plastic ones with the base made with hydrostone and sand).

Hours later, the wall were covered with condensed water.

Do you have any material that could add to reduce this?

I tried adding some cotton but the ants made a big mess with it.

I was thinking in something like coconut fiber

https://www.amazon.c...s/dp/B077SSZ3DGthat I can cut and adjust to the formicarium.

I will appreciate advice. Thanks!

I would advise a larger container with a better ventilated lid. Try raising the ambient temperature around the formicarium to reduce condensation. I put packs of desicant in my Crematogasters’ outworlds. They are up on a rim lined with fluon, so they’re out of reach.

"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.

Thanks, Papa Smurf!

I just bought some silica gel desiccant. We will see.

Also, I'm going to make holes on the lid and 100micron screen stainless.

have a great afternoon!
