Found 5 of these queens yesterday with drones in tow:

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Boulder Colorado
2. Date of collection: 8-22-21
3. Habitat of collection: Grassy Hill at park, Near a creek
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~1 cm (10mm)
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Golden colored, seems iridescent on gaster from below
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Drones were extremely small ~2-3 mm long
7. Distinguishing behavior: Unknown
8. Nest description: unknown

9. Nuptial flight time and date: 8-22-21 4-6 pm

all five of my queens had drones with or near them as they landed from the sky and many were cleaning their gasters but none have removed their wings yet.

Photos arent the best quality but i don't have a macro lens or anything
