Will Lasius queens open pupae?

I always find parasitic Lasius queens and every attempt at founding them so far has ended poorly, so I was wondering if I could just introduce slave pupae and let it go from there? Got these two right now with some pupae just in case, but I figured I would ask while there is still time to go a different route if needed. I know the second one is L.murphyi, not sure about the other.

They need host workers.

Mine isn't parasitic, but still ate them like burritos. 

to be fair... maybe she could tell they were dead. No need to waste protein.

You will need to get callows (newly emerged workers) as they can’t open pupae and fully hardened workers will fight with the queen.
