btw i think this one is for sure a queen she's much larger compared to the two workers i found btw if someone knows how to take care of these guys id be happy to know anything

was there any other ants in the nest or wast it just her if it was just her research about as much as you possibly can on this sp because not much is known

I don’t know about this specific species, but I have heard that Proceratium are spider eggs specialists, so unless you can get lots of spider eggs I don’t think you would be able to keep them alive.

Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): ★ Camponotus irritans inferior, ★ Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, ★ Nylanderia sp., ★ Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), ★ Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)
Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

guys I'm totally embarassed its like i can't keep something alive to save my own life i tried to conduct a science expirement to see if i could feed her an egg that's easier to acquire so i started with roach eggs and i cut open the shell and left it with her for about 4 hours then the next day i tried Camponotus eggs (don't judge me) and she didn't eat any of it so i settled with a few spider eggs and today she was dead i don't get why she died maybe it was karma getting me back for being a bad person all i know is I'm super pissed right now so don't judge me for my decisions i realised what i did was stupid and i don't need help beating myself up
but dang man i felt like i was the spearhead of ant discovery and i went from the top to the bottom of the cool guy leaderboard if you know what i mean this just totally frickin sucks
