I recently read this article and enjoyed it, so I thought I'd share it with all of you.  I hope you enjoy it.

I enjoyed it to, very interesting. I find it interesting that no one ever researched this ant despite it being rather common.

I love Dolichoderine ants!

I've been meaning to find a Forelius or Dorymyrmex queen...

That blue-cheesy smell that some of them produce is really interesting....

There are a lot of ants, that smell very specific. f.e. Lasius fuliginosus, or even Pachycondyla analis (Megaponera foetens)

Some Lasius workers you can differ from parasitic to non parasitic, if you grind them between your fingers.

The non parasitic smell sour, the parasitic ones like citrus fruit.

Yes, Lasius fuliginosus have a very strong smell.
