Helloo everyone, I got a Myrmecocystus Navajo from Dspdrew and for awhile she didn't lay eggs, until I gave her some sand, and then she laid around 8ish eggs!fQACTw.jpgI've never raised honeypots so I'm gonna need some help along the way😅 so if you have any advice or tips I'd be happy to hear!

Helloo not much change other than the queen laying more eggs, and some of them look like there going to become larvae.GcoVOz.jpgI also gave her some sunburst nector that she seems to be enjoying.eMgeS4.jpgBut until next time cya! :)

Soooooo she laid eeeeven more eggs, the test tube is a bit blurry so not the best picbCTs6u.jpgAlsoooo, since the last update she has become a'thicboi'ifj1lI.jpgWelp that's about it😅 I'll probably update again when she gets larvae, but until next time cYa

I would check every week or so. When she get's close to workers check on her every like 2-3 days. Then only check on her with those first workers 2-3 times to only feed. Then as the colony get's bigger you can check on them more frequently. Also try not to vibrate her cause it causes stress. Then also like B_rad said heat her. GL with them!! I may be wrong on some of the info also but this is from stuff I have heard from multiple people.

Welp, bad news, somehow her test tube rolled of the heating mat thing, and all of her brood got lost in the sand☹, she was only able to find 3 of her eggs and 1 larvae so far, I'm just hoping that she could find the rest while I'm at school.

Well I checked on her with my red light and she found 2 more of her larvae, and around 3 more eggs😁😁

Sooooooo after a couple set backs, she has a few larvae and I think an egg, (she has one you can barely see in her mouth)20210930_195227~3.jpg
I'll check up on her again when she gets cocoons.
