I'm pretty upset as my Acromyrmex from antsemporium were doing so well and had plenty of fungus and in less than 24 hours, there is nothing. No eggs, no fungus, nothing. Ant idea how or why? And if anyone has extra fungus to sell I'd greatly appreciate it. I'll post pictures in a few..

Was your nest over hydrated or not hydrated at all? I had a bit of fungus die because the nest was way too wet and moist when I picked them up but luckily i was able to fix the problem. Also not sure where you can get fungus from now but I'm sure people will be selling fungus in the next few weeks

I've been keeping a close eye on the hydration so I feel it wasn't because it was too dry although it is a possibility it was too hydrated. First time with this sp. so I'm not too positive. It seems they moved most the eggs and the bits of leftover eaten fungus on a damp fish food pellet so I'm hoping the fungus is trying to grow on there. Otherwise I'm not sure why they would move most the eggs there tooWas your nest over hydrated or not hydrated at all? You will probably have to just wait until it dries more and hope the colony can survive without fungus until you can get some. Just don't hydrate as much in the future, I guess. You might want to look over Cheeto's fungus grower guide.

Did you heat it?

I can only speak for Atta, but my Atta fungus is not tolerant of any residual moisture -- if you can see any water in contact with the fungus it melts within a day. The fungus definitely requires high humidity, but true 100%, saturated humidity kills it. I also know people who have had small bits of Atta fungus mailed to them, and it melted shortly after arriving for whatever reason. Definitely it is going to be extra sensitive after arrival, so I would make sure not to change up it's conditions too much (or at all) compared to what it came in
