ok guys so I've recently gotten bored with the slow development of my Camponotus colony its not that i don't like them its just that they're really slow developers so i was thinking i was gonna get a new colony but i legit can't decide what to get it has to be fast growing what do you guys think?

I LOVE ANTS!!!!

Get Tetramorium immigrans or crematogaster. The latter should be flying around now.

Solenopsis and Tetramorium species both grow fast. You could also feed your Camponotus tons of protein.

Protein helps but most Camponotus will be slow growers regardless. Tetramorium, Solenopsis, Brachymyrmex, Lasius, Crematogaster and more are all fast growing especially with food and heating. Camponotus are as slow as they come and have never worked for me besides the more prolific Camponotus absqualator.

- Myrmecocystus mexicanus (1 queen, 100 workers)

- Brachymyrmex patagonicus (3 queens?, 2,000 workers? & alates)

- Crematogaster sp. (1 queen, 600 workers)

- Liometopum occidentale (1 queen, 800 workers)

- Camponotus absqualator (1 queen, 130 workers)

In the next few weeks, up until the beginning of September, some smaller and much faster growing species should be flying like Lasius and Crematogaster. Definitely be on the lookout for them.
