  • Acromyrmex versicolor - leaf cutter ants with growing fungus and least 1+ worker
  • $25 / queen. (example - 5 queen colony = $125, 7 queen colony = $175)
  • Pickup in Gilbert, AZ (Metro Phoenix). Only a couple hours away from Tucson, Yuma, Flagstaff, Kingman, Show Low, etc… Not willing to hassle with shipping
  • It’s so awesome to watch them cutting up leaves and growing fungus into all sorts of crazy shapes. Not to mention a colony with multiple queens!

If interested, send me a DM to connect on pickup time. Have fun! - Luke

Feeding Peacock flowers, desert sage, desert willow, roses, desert sage, mesquite, paloverde, steel cut oats (from grocery store), basically any flower from the legume plant.  They're not really to picky.  They love roses.

You can see why people love these ants.  Instead of cutting up bugs, you get to easily feed them a few beautiful flowers.  lol

Are those hibiscus flowers?

The orange/red one looks like a peacock flower and the yellow looks like a tecoma flower.

If you are unsure about their care I'd recommend reading my leafcutter ant guide here: https://www.formicul...afcutter-ants™/

I believe Luke has them in standard deli-cup founding nests.

I must disagree. You can never have too many leaf cutters. I one day dream of a 100 queen colony and thousands of workers.

Still a few left.  Fungus and brood are growing like crazy.  I think this "bowl" fungus they made is so cool.
