Are there any keepers in mid Missouri that sell ants? I’m getting very frustrated that I can’t find any queens out in the wild, and have only seen a worker or two. Trying to see if there are any sellers not 3+ hours away from me literally right in the middle of the state. I looked at the GAN but the prices seem outrageous for a Queen and maybe a worker or two and they are so far from me. Well here is to hoping someone is out there lol

Prices usually cover collecting costs and care costs.  Not to mention different ants have different values.

This is also in the beginning portion of the ant season, so you'll just have to be patient for flights to be more common closer to you.

The prices are actually pretty standard. A 50 dollar queen's pretty cheap.

It isn't to hard to find queens yourself, but i do agree, the prices are high somethimes.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
