Looks like my pheidole flight has started, found in my pool at dusk after a small rain.
She’s just about 6.5 mm, has relatively small antennae compared to other species in familiar with, bright orange (looks more like a darker red in the photos) head and thorax with a dark brown segmented gastor. She’s good at walking on the glass although she does slip a bit sometimes. Found on 7-12-21.

According to antwiki their are only 4 species of pheidole that are found here in Illinois, pheidole bicarinata, Pheidole dentata, Pheidole pilifera, and Pheidole morrisii.
All of which are found here in central Illinois.

I need help finding out which one of these 4 species this gal is.
All help is appreciated!

Edit: grammar

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
